Industrial Marketing Firm Sold
June 21, 2018
Levy Industrial, a Pittsburgh-based advertising and marketing firm serving manufacturers and industrial distributors worldwide, has been sold to Francois Gau, a former Kennametal executive, who is now its president and CEO. Gau served as vice president of strategic marketing at Levy Industrial since December 2016. He brings 30 years of experience in aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing, and participation in Industrial Internet of Things (IioT) to Levy Industrial.
“Industrial marketing requires a complex skill set. I’m confident that this sale will provide the company with the necessary resources as Levy Industrial enters its next phase of growth and innovation,” Gau said.
A native of Toulouse, France, Gau was vice president of strategic marketing and new business development at Kennametal from 2003 to 2016. He oversaw Kennametal’s entry into IioT technologies and developed and implemented strategies for the aerospace and power generation industries. He also held positions between 1988 and 2003 with Honeywell Aerospace in Toulouse and Phoenix, Arizona.
Gau is also a Pittsburgh-based partner of velocityHUB, a training, consulting, leadership, and an executive coaching firm. Valerry Mannarino, vice president of training and coaching, will lead velocityHUB. The two companies will remain independent but will offer joint capabilities to their clients.
Gau is a board member of the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Pittsburgh Chapter, and GlobalPittsburgh.
